Cristina Sendra is a chemical engineer by training and has a PhD in Industrial Ecology from the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. After working as a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University and becoming part of the Environmental Sustainability and Prevention research group (SosteniPrA), she made the leap to the private sector and joined the team of EIG, without ceasing her research investigations. Her work in this area is focused on the analysis of metabolic systems; countries, industries or companies, and other tools of environmental quantify. Now EIG apply through the private sector to scale buildings and industry.
A very positive person, who loves to share good times with family and friends, Cristina likes to enjoy and learn every day through her work. She thinks that the education of society in environmental issues is very important, as well as the dissemination and implementation of the research being carried out in this field in both Catalan industry and society, as a way to improve our environment and quality of life.
She believes that EIG, with the motivation and complementarity of the people who make it up, can be the catalyst for this process.
