Cristina Sendra works with EIG via an agreement with the Environmental Science and Technology Institute (ICTA) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. A chemical engineer by training, she is currently finishing her doctorate in the field of industrial ecology and gives classes in the university’s Chemical Engineering Department. Her research work focuses on analysing the metabolism of systems such as countries, industrial sectors and businesses.

A very positive person, she likes to share good times with family and friends and enjoying and learning from her work every day. She believes in the key importance of education and training of society on environmental matters, as well as of the dissemination and implementation of research which is being carried out in this field throughout Catalan business and society as a way of improving the environment and the quality of life of our society.

She believes that EIG, with the motivation and the complementary skills of the persons making it up, can act as a catalyst for this process.
