Duncan believes in dreaming boldly and from that, turning ideas into realities. A qualified Irish architect, his 2005 thesis proposed the "Botanic Spine"; an urban greenway and CPUL (continuous productive urban landscape) for his native city Dublin. A firm believer in local community participation and real world action, during this time he was busy getting his hands dirty setting up a number of community gardens in the city as well as organising greenway bike rides. He uses many tools in his work: art, play, dreaming, events, community media, humour, dialogue and education.
For over 6 years Duncan has been working to create more ecological cities, having worked in the post-war torn Bosnian city of Banja Luka with ECG (eco city group), to living and working in Lille’s “la Condition Publique”, to various projects in Ireland, to now living and working with EIG in the bold urban model city of Barcelona.
Duncan loves nature and participating in projects with people who are moved by their passion for life. For this he is very happy to work with EIG as he feels they are offering solutions to sustain life on earth, he looks forward to their collective adventure.
