This document, requested by CADS, is a guide for the development of sustainable communities, taking Barcelona as its case study.

The paper outlines our vision on housing, neighbourhoods and public spaces, with the intention of proposing a new urban concept, through the Cradle to Cradle perspective.

From the building and the block to the city and the bio-region, we suggested different solutions to reduce energetic demand of buildings, closed loops inspired by natural systems, and proposed seven practical steps for improving many aspects of Barcelona city.
